Julie of the Wolves is about a 13 year old girl who was adopted by a pack of wolves. Her father had left her with her ant but he said that if she didnít like it at her ants house she could stay with one of his friends but she would have to marry his son. Miyax did marry his son named Daniel but she wanted to divorce him. The only way she could get a divorced is that she would have to leave to go somewhere else. She dicided to travel to her pen pal place in San Francisco and live with their family. While she was traveling through the tundra she got lost. She ran out of food and needed a way to get food. She decided that she could learn the wofl language and try to became a friend so the wolves woulnít  be an enemy to her. To me this was a very good book because the story made you think about what Miyax should do. There was some things that I diinít like about this story.

I like that the setting was in the tundra and around the modern days. I liked it in the tundra because it was a different setting that I have read before or usually itís in Alaska. They were very specific on the details on what they looked like. One example is th they explained on how it was turnig and it would soon be witer and also the birds flying south and how the hills were not hills they were frost heaves. I also really like how the main events shoul up were you would least expect them. They would surprise you. Also they would make you think about the main ideas.

What I donít like about this story is that there are only a couple of characters we are either talking about Miyax or the wolves. I really didít like the action because there was hardly any. They should have of put more enthusiasm in there words and they should have made it like we were there in real life. Also I didnít like the ending. It was not what I expected at all. If I could have changed it it would be better.

I would recommend this book to othere because it is more in the modern days were there isn't that much stuff invented yet so we who are carried away in all of the new technicians would learn a good lesson and also if people who like wolves would really like enjoy this book. If people like wilderness they would like this book. If they liked adventurous and emotional books they would really like this book. It isn't that long and it isn't that short, it's a good reading level also.

The lessons that I thought that went across this book was that you should never go wondering off into the wilderness without any coomunication or food. You should be with someone at all times in the wilderness expecially when you know that there are big animals out there. Also another lesson that I thought was about this book was that you can depend on other people/animals for food an any other kinds of stuff. Those are some of the lessons that I thought were in the book. I know that I learned from them and I know that other people will learn these lessons also.
