This book gave me a positive feeling because, it relates to me in a way, and I also love the chilling weathers of the outdoors. Another thing I liked about the story was the title. The title is called, "Julie of the Wolves." Miyaxís English name is Julie, but she left her old name because of her past, and now she is called, "Miyax." That is why I liked this book.
What I disliked about the story was the ending. The ending really didnít make any sense, because it could have told more description on where she ended up staying. The ending is pretty short because it jumps to Miyax finding her father, and her bird friend dying, and a little description on where she went to live. Miyax had three choices on where she wanted to live. Her choices were to live with her father, to be an eskimo, or to go to San Fransico, to live with her pen pal.
If you read the book and had to decide whether to live in one of those three places. Where would you live? If I were Miyax I would choose to live with her pen pal. Well otherwise if you read this lovely book you will find out the adventure about Miyaxís life, and where she ends up staying. You will also find out about what happens to the wolves.
I learned that survival can be tough. You donít always make it through life expecting everything to come to you. Miyax surley couldnít make it through life without those wolves. I learned that coming together as a team can accomplish more dreams than working by yourself. So overall I enjoyed this wonderful book.
