Julie of the Wolves was an adventurous story about a young girl named Miyax in the wilderness of the arctic tundra. I really enjoyed this book because when I started reading this book I read Miyax's problem and wanted to find out the answer. Julie of the Wolves is an amazing story and contains adventure and many other little problems. Although this book was not very long, but a little easy to read. The details and actions of this book kept me reading.
My favorite parts of this story were all Miyax's major and little problems, especially the conflicts. The major problem in this story was that Miyax ran away from home into the wilderness to live with her pen pal Amy in San Francisco. While trying to survive, Miyax has no food, but watches a wolf pack to know how to act like a wolf and their expressions. All of these problems and conflicts combined together make an amazing story. Another thing that I like about this story is the authors theme. The authors theme is Julie of the wolves was that you couldn't change or go back to the past. The authors theme is very important to this story because Miyax has to decide what she is going to do about a tough situation. She has to decide between her dad Kapugen and the wilderness with the wolf pack.
I dislike the ending of this story because it didn't make sense to me and it was a very quick ending. It makes the book look like the author was in a hurry to do something important. The author should of have give more details and added on to the ending.
I think someone who like outdoors, wolves and a great adventure would like this story. A person that does not like outdoors and wolves would probably not like the book Julie of the Wolves. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to anyone.
A good lesson I learned from this book is that make the right choice or do it right the first time because you can't go back to the past and change it. Reading this story made me think about what I have done wrong in the past and how I can change it in the future.
