Julie of the Wolves was an amazing story of a 13 year old girl named Miyax Kapugen.  This story takes place in the tundra of Alaska and about a girl who is adopted by a wolf pack.   The most frustrating thing for Miyax is that she gets lost on the tundra by running away form her husband Daniel.  She was also looking forward to find her pen pal in San Francisco.  I enjoyed this book a lot.  I never wanted to put the book down.

My favorite parts of the story were the conflicts.  The main conflict is Miyax trying to find her way to a harbor to sail to San Francisco.  Another major conflict, is when Miyax finds out her father is alive.  The most important is that she finds a way to communicate with a wolf pack so she doesnít starve.  The other thing I liked is the theme.  Do not go out into the wilderness alone, but in Miyaxís case always be prepared if something were to happen.

The part I disliked was when Miyax feels hopeless of herself.  Espeically, the time when you get the feeling that you can't do anything.  I thought that time of the story was really depressing.   Miyax should have been more confident towards getting more rest and consintrating on going to San Francisco.  That is the part of the story I disliked.

Julie of the Wolves was filled with adventure.  Someone who enjoys the wilderness and loves adventure would enjoy this book.  I enjoy the wilderness and love adventurous books.  Also someone who loves animals like wolves would enjoy this book.  Thatís why I enjoyed this book so much.

I learned so much from this story .  Thought the best part of learning is not by going out into the wilderness but doing things you are requred to do when you are out there.  The theme of the story was what I learned.  It is never go out in the wilderness not prepared to do something.  Another is never do something you might regret in the future and you will know what I mean if you read this book.
