Child of the wolves is a book about a Siberian husky named Granite, who runs away and finds himself lost in the wilderness.  Granite is adopted by a wolf pack and finds himself struggling to gain the wolf packs respect. Although this book wasnít a favorite of mine, It was great book to read because it was exciting and suspenseful because I didnít know what was going t o happen next.

There are many parts of the story that I liked.  I especially enjoyed it when Ebony let granite go on his first hunt and then something happens to climber.  Also when strider taught granite a lesson on how to hunt porcupine, A very, very cruel lesson. I could really feel granites pain then. Or when snowdrift loses her pups I felt really bad she didnít know what happened to them.

There were some events in the story that were disappointing and I would have changed. For Example when Snowdrift got shot, she survived but I wish she would  Have died to make the story more intresting because I would have liked to see what the pack members including strider and Ebony would have treated granite.

I would recomend this book to peaple who like adventure and animals, i know they would like. I would because its centered in the wilderness and is about wolfes, dogs and humans {hunters, sled dog owners}.

The lesson That i learned from this book is,  Never stop trying, never give up and what you whant might just happen.
