Changes in Trolleys
By: T.K.

In 1889, a major change came over the Chippewa Valley. Eau Claire and Altoona (which had their trolley systems connected) changed over from horse-drawn to electric trolleys. At first people did not like the idea. How could electricity, which was new at the time, be more efficient than two horses? Eau Claire became the 4th city in the nation to have an electric trolley system.

This is 2 trolleys at a stop.
