In Crescent Moon, Eddie and Willie's father is hurt in an accident at the sawmill where he works. Sawmills are dangerous places a lot of the time. You have to be careful, or something can hurt you by suprise. You should often wear protection such as helmets, protective glasses, and a few other accessories.

Some of the most commonly known injuries for working at sawmills are from logs rolling off of the trucks that haul the wood and hitting people behind the truck and other times when workers just get common every-day injuries.
