Setting
By Jessica F.

This book takes place in the Eau Claire area in the early 1900's.  The book mentions places that are still here today.  One of the important places that is mentioned is the railroad bridge.  The railroad is still here today as is the "high bridge". The book also mentions the Chippewa River where the Ojibwe Indians lived along with Nathan Two-Horse. The Chippewa River is still an important part of the city, but it is no longer a river of logs. (Photo credit: P. Solfest,2002)
