How did Eau Claire Change From Logging to Industrial age?

As you can see even the school classes were forced to change.
Even the schools were changing. The classes of farming and lumbering were now having to compete with the classes of auto mechanics and industry.
The whipsaw was now replaced with the drill press. As were the rest of the logging tools replaced with their industrial counter parts.
