The coins and Currency that were
around for the lumberjacks was very different from the money we have today.
Mainly it just looked a lot different, but it also was used differently
than we use ours. Every lumber company had a different system of
currency that it used for lumber and merchandise. But you could only
use that currency in that company's stores. Other companies
wouldn't accept it. You would think that there couldn't
be too many different lumbering companies.....but there were. And
because of there being so many companies...it was hard to make a currency
all your own!
