The city of Galveston, Texas was built on an island two miles off the mainland. This created a scenic beach but it also was a disaster in waiting. September, 1900 proved to be the end of that wait. A hurricane struck which flood much of the city. Thousands were killed. Examine the artifacts below to learn more about this example of Nature's Fury.
