Trains/ Railroads

Local railroads had a tremendous impact on small communities.  The early railroads were used just for logging at first, but soon became used for transportation.

The old railroads were organized by Nathaniel Caldwell Foster, who was once one of the areas best businessman.  His first railroad was built in 1879.
