One of the most important things in Ojibwe life was hunting. It provided clothing, food, and tools. Ojibwe people believed in using everything. The bones were carved into tools or weapons. The skins were tanned and sewn to make their clothing. They also used the meat for food.

The Ojibwe most valued animal, for hunting, was the deer.
The deer could provide 100 pounds of food. The hides were what most
of the clothing was made out of. They used the deer hides beause
it would keep the warmth in better. The Ojibwe also hunted rabbit,
fox, bear, etc.
