The Hawaiian islands are actually
the tops of powerful volcanoes rising up out of the sea. It should be no
surprise then that volcanoes have played a big part in their development.
Kilahuea is a volcano on the island of Hawaii. It's crater is more than
twp miles long and two miles wide. It has erupted many times. In 1983,
a period of eruptions started that continue to today. Examine the artifacts
